It can take years to decide to adopt, seconds to make the first step.
We have met hundreds and hundreds of people over the years who have wanted to adopt a child so we know how daunting the prospect can be. This website has been designed so you can find out more about the process from the comfort and privacy of your own home – but if you want to ask any questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call, we would love to hear from you.
So what next?
Adoption is a way of providing a new family for children who cannot be brought up by their own parents. Somerset County Council is an approved adoption agency and we have to go through a series of checks before you are approved to adopt. Once this is complete the search for your new child can begin.
